March is going to be another month filled with opportunity here in Room 152!
As I write this post, students are working on projects to wrap up their study of Rick Riordan's The Red Pyramid. They all deserve mega-bragging rights for finishing a novel of over five hundred pages! Projects finish this this week.
Our February Reading Challenge lunch will make a reappearance soon, and I’m looking forward to picking up a few new reading recommendations for my own TBR. The March Reading Challenge is also in full swing. This month there are two challenges—a book published before you were born, and a graphic novel. Why two challenges? Hopefully everyone gets some time to do reading over Spring Break!
The lunch meeting forum is so popular that we’ll be launching a new lunchtime endeavor, the Story Notebook Project. It will premier in the same week as the middle school band concert, which is a great opportunity to hear some fantastic live music.
We'll wrap up the month with a small celebration just before Spring Break begins. It's a busy month. Happy March!
